Benjamin Kegan is a New York–based director drawn to stories about masculinity, performance, and the limits of the human body. His work moves through spaces shaped by pressure and performance, blending documentary authenticity with a cinematic narrative sensibility.
His most recent film, Seconds Away, is an inside look at the world of elite running, following an athlete and coach chasing a final Olympic qualifying standard. The film premiered at the Austin Film Festival and continues to screen internationally.
In addition to independent film, he directs and edits branded and commercial work for cultural organizations and companies, collaborating with teams to bring emotionally grounded, character-focused stories to life.
